You bring some sales and customer service experience to the table as well as business knowledge and maybe some audio/video or computer experience. Mission

The Inside Sales Account Manager will be responsible for the growth, support and maintenance of our existing customers.

Functional Tasks 

  1. Draft and issue quotes for all products and services in a timely manner.
  2. Conduct after sale customer follow up consultations.
  3. Submit and manage sales through the order life cycle.
  4. Regularly update sales management by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  5. Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, techniques, etc.
  6. Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments to customers.
  7. Address and resolve customer issues by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  8. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  9. Work collaboratively with Operations, Product marketing, project management and Service delivery by contributing to the Team accomplishing related results as needed.

Critical Skills Our Ideal Candidate should have:

  • Strong speaking and presentation skills. The position will require making pitches to clients in person, on the phone and over video or web conferences.
  • Strong persuasive writing skills. They will have to prepare marketing and sales emails, proposals, presentations and other written materials on a regular basis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as it is used to prepare and look up vendor pricing, do markup, profit margin and currency exchange calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, which is used to prepare proposals for clients.
  • Some audio video equipment knowledge. Using videoconference equipment and connecting demo equipment to a television or projector are common tasks.
  • A strong attention to detail.

Who we’re looking for:

As an Outbound Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our sales team. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities across Canada & the US by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers through the telephone and the web.

  6. Report to the Director of Sales on daily/weekly/monthly sales results

Qualifications

  1. Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Representative, or similar role
  2. Cold calling experience
  3. Track record of meeting targets
  4. Experience with any CRM software
  5. Excellent communication and probing skills
  6. Business Diploma or Degree (or equivalent experience)
